flatpak MakeMKV issue on Siduction (Debian Sid)

#1 Post by tct123 » Sun Nov 26, 2023 10:51 pm

Hello,
every time I start MakeMKV with flatpak, I get the following error:

Code: Select all

Failed to create wl_display (No such file or directory)
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "wayland" in "" even though it was found.
Qt: Session management error: Could not open network socket
info string reallocated, size=837
My specs:
kernel: 6.6.2-1-siduction-amd64
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 580
OS: Siduction (Debian Sid)
Desktop: KDE 5 Plasma

On my other Debian Sid based distributions this works.

That is strange. However, installing qtwayland5 and/or qt6-wayland may help. But I would prefer using X Window as DE with MakeMKV instead. I don't like Wayland since it's buggy and behaves strangely with my IME and lots of "old" software.
