Ripping 3D MVC as 2D?

I've just realized my WDTV does not play MVC files, I'm getting audio only which is weird cause it could choose to play only the left eye part and ignore the rest. So, is there a way to rip the movie to 2D without having to use TSMuxer or something?

If you open the mkv files with MakeMKV through the 'File | Open Files' menu option you can uncheck the Secondary MVC stream and remux the file with MakeMKV.
