work around a bad 3D source

Post by SpasV »

I've tried to make a 3D .mkv remux which attempt failed. But MakeMKV was capable to generate a 2D remux having corrected errors.
From MakeMKV-log:
"...AV sync issue in stream 0 at 0:49:17.621 : video frame timecode differs by -0.102ms
AV sync issue in stream 0 at 0:49:17.621 : too many video frames with invalid timecodes, future messages will be suppressed
DEBUG: Code 132 at *M=d>ww icjnMH% jWIDk:213134055
DEBUG: Code 132 at *M=d>ww icjnMH% jWIDk:213134055
The source file '/BDMV/STREAM/00000.m2ts' is corrupt or invalid at offset 45961218048, attempting to work around
The source file '/BDMV/STREAM/00000.m2ts' is corrupt or invalid at offset 45961218048, attempting to work around
AV sync issue in stream 0 at 1:58:15.296 : video stream has 98179 frames with invalid timecodes

1 titles saved"

Then, having used eac3to, I've demuxed the source and merged its MVC stream + MadeMKV 2D remux with tsMuxeR generating an .iso file.
After that MakeMKV was capable of remuxing the 3D .iso source.
From MakeMKV-log:
"DEBUG: Code 132 at *M=d>ww icjnMH% jWIDk:213134055
The source file '/BDMV/STREAM/00000.m2ts' is corrupt or invalid at offset 43373309952, attempting to work around
1 titles saved"

Would be better if MakeMKV were capable to do this work automatically.

P.S. eac3to didn't report any error but its streams merged with tsMuxeR couldn't be remuxed by MakeMKV. Obviously, the AVC source stream was bad.

I have an ISO that is giving me fits. I couldn't even find logs created by MakeMKV until I turned on debug logs in the settings then re-ran it. It failed on the creation right before it would have completed. Of course it deletes the file it created so I can't even try to see if it works to begin with.

How did you know from your experience what the "plain English" error code was? The closest I see is:

Code: Select all

001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 1 at 3Bqt23jV"}Lac)&kFN#.:213136769

001002:0020 LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception: Error in p->FetchFrames(2,true)
Do you have any other info on what you did to resolve or get around this? Sorry I'm not an expert nor have I used eac3to.

Thanks!
