I tried to rip my copy of Monsters vs Aliens 3D (not the original exclusive, the one with TrueHD). I am having problems with it. I don't think it is a defective disc given the error messages. Any ideas?

Try the full disc backup function. Are here any hash check or other errors?

Tried it. It had no errors.

Does making an MKV from the backup work?

The titles still have the same error message and only a non movie track is listed.

OK, but should I attempt to rip the non movie track or just load the disc?

I think either would be fine.

Same problem with this disc. MakeMKV opens the disc but only creates a selection list containing a single trailer title. Opening the "full disc backup file" does the same. Entire movie appears to be contained in title 00002.m2ts which does open and play in the VLC media app but which is not recognized as a valid file by HandBreak. My current workaround is to open the "full disc backup file" created by MakeMKV using the Pavtube ByteCopy MKV app which recognizes/lists both the main 15-chapter movie feature and the trailer titles. The Pavtube app is then used to select the appropriate main feature title and move the data to an MKV file container which is them recognized and processed by HandBreak.

HandBrake can open MakeMKV's full disc backups. Open the folder above BDMV.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I deleted the "backup" folder as soon as I managed to create an ?TV file. Will create another disc backup later in the week when I have the time to test your alternative work flow. Again, thanks for your response.

I just wanted to confirm that I am still having this problem with MakeMKV 1.7.7. I was able to use the backup to get a 2D mkv file, but I'd rather have a 3D copy if possible.
