confusing 3D-Bluray standard ripping options?

Post by kapqa »

Hello ,

have recevied an 3d bluray and would like to backkup the Disc for later viewing over Network Stream.

Makemkev is recognizing the disc, however it proposes a quite confusing options if i might say so,

according to preliminary finding, the disc

5 titles a ca. 42,1 GB
and makemkv proposes to rip all 5 of them, however if i "enlarge" one title by clicking upon it, it proposes (so it seems) to rip only the Audio section, and Video is not checkmarked;

is this by design'?
also, titles 3,4,5 seem to have the same content as title 1.

thank you

This is not correct. The video part is always ripped. you just cannot see or remove the checkmark for it. But in the case of a 3D disc, the MVC part is the "second eye" so to speak. Without that, there would be no 3D.
