Many fakes, be very careful and expect to be scammed.

Try asking if they will accept a batch of sealed, expired COVID19 test kits with new fake dates on them for a fake blu-ray drive.

I suspected possible fakes, so I preferred to ask.

I risked a Pioneer BDR-UD03 and a LG BU40N in a enclosure.

Both are on it way.

Let's see ....

The LG drive in the enclosure arrived.
First check: Contains a BU50N.
Great stuff for 59,99 Euro and shipping takes from February, 23rd to 28th. (shipped to work, so today was the first view)

Next step: awaiting the BDR-UD03 ....

The BDR-UD03 arrived yesterday. Works perfectly as an UD04.

What was the manufacture date on the drives and did they appear to be heavily used?

My main concern with buying these (apart from being fake) would be that they were already heavily used and are close to failing.

Mfc was 2018 and it looks like new. But I would doubt that all UD03 from the same supplier will come from the same batch in these days.

Can't find the link. Perhaps the seller stopped the offer, sorry.

There are other offer with similar specs, but other sellers.

Ask the seller what you want known e.g..

Then trust or trust not. Try or try not.
