Hi,
Does anyone know if there's away to crossflash (eg. with BDR Flash tool) my Pioneer BDR PR1AME to Pioneer's old BDR PR1MC that can do quality checks on BD-R and BDXL media (only 100GB)? PR1AME uses the same platform (RS 8000), the hardware boards are identical (ONP 8324-A, DNP 2388-A). It even has the white 4-pin connector right of the SATA-connector and also the "OPARG" logo is on the front bezel. Any help kindly appreciated!

I'm not aware of such possibility. If you want to do burn quality checks just buy a LGBH16NS40 or NS55 and flash it to WH16NS58 1.V5 from the MK firmware pack. Then you can do these checks with qpxtool or VPTools.blackice wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 5:29 pmHi,

Re: Crossflash BDR-PR1AME to BDR-PR1MC for quality checks
Hi
Did you ever try the crossflash yourself with the BDR Flash tool (or DVRTool) and get any success turning the PR1AME into a full PR1MC with working quality checks on BD-R / 100GB BDXL?
And if so (or even if you were just looking), where did you source the actual PR1MC firmware file from?Any details would be super helpful — thanks!
