iMac with 5k resolution

Looking to get a UHD friendly rom ( in UK if someone has one !!) and use it with my iMac - no idea if this will playback in 4K via rom but also looking to use MKV to do a back up and stream to my Oppo UDP-205, hopefully this may work as well. Anyone using a 5 k iMac who has done this ??

OK I'll bite
Use MakeMKV's "full disc backup" feature to make bit perfect backups of your 4K UHD blu rays that will playback *flawlessly* through your Oppo (either direct into USB or over the LAN). Oppo UHD players are one of the few pieces of hardware or software that play BDMV folders (which are the output of the full disc backup feature).
As to your 5K iMac specific concern I'm wondering if a moderator could move this to the macOS specific sub forum.
