Created an account here just to post my frustrations.

- I first reached out to Alex on 11/28.
- I eventually received an invoice from him on 12/10.
- I paid him via Venmo on 12/11.
- I sent him a followup e-mail on 12/16 asking for a status update.
- It is now 12/19 that I am posting this, I have not heard from Alex since he sent the invoice on 12/10.

He supplied a USPS tracking number. However, there have been no updates to the tracking number. He simply generated a tracking number, but has not dropped off the package yet.

I understand it is the time of year for holidays and taking it easy. However, a simple status update via e-mail only takes a minute, maybe two. I paid him almost $200 in good faith and have not heard from him in 9 days.

**edit:
- Alex finally responded on 12/20. Said "everything's fine, he got overloaded with orders"
- Today, 12/24, still no drive, still no updates to the tracking number.

You guys are giving Alex a hard time, especially since its either close or on December (the holidays) for crying out loud. I ordered from Alex last year literally the day of Christmas and he delivered exactly what I expected. I'd assume demand was lower last year or the holiday rush had finished before I ordered because mine shipped pretty quick (literally the day after). Also got a discounted MakeMKV permanent key from him which was pretty sick. Back to the order experience: I had an great experience from getting my questions and concerns answered to getting the order placed. Shipped with priority mail. Pro Tip: Since yall are ordering around the holidays, USPS will not update its shipping like it used to. After all the changes that happened to USPS with DeJoy, USPS is EVEN WORSE with tracking. A lot of my recent packages were more like guess when itll arrive because USPS won't tell you. You'd have to go off of when it was dropped off. the speed is more or less there though...kinda. Give the guy a break, its a one man OP and there's high demand for UHD MKVs

Hello! I have a LG WH16NS60 that I purchased here, and it's not working with Windows 11. At least, it stopped working after I upgraded to Windows 11. Anyway, the drive doesn't show up in This PC. I've tried different ports and cables. It's weird.

Halp!
I don't know how to explain it, but it's working now. For some reason, I have to plug it in, turn it on, then unplug it and plug it back in and then it works. It does this on multiple computers. Weird. Anyway, it works so I'm good.
My guess was that the drive needed to be drained from residual power or if the computer had the drive ram cleaned, which got the drive back to ship shape. Some other guy (I forget the name) mentioned for the Asus bw-16d1ht that removing the computer from power and holding the power button for 10 seconds gets the drive right back up running, lots of people were worried the drive went kaput. Guess the drive RAM was still holding old info from residual power.

Hey Alex, I shot you an email about getting some price quotes. I know I can buy a drive and do it myself but depending on the cost it might be worth it to pay the convenience fee.

Which of the mentioned drives in the OP has the best writing capabilities?
I'd like to also use it to burn BDXL discs, but there are many reports of users where they fail, especially on cheap media such as verbatim.

bman7, did you ever receive your drive? I was thinking about placing an order, but your experience seems concerning.

As someone who ships with USPS all the time, their tracking system is still very accurate. As soon as you create the tracking # it shows up. As soon as you take it to the counter its registered as being in USPS Hands on the tracking. That is the problem with most here, he promises and under delivers and it goes way way past the date. He never gets it to USPS for it to even start the process. Alex needs to fix this or he won't have people buying from him any longer.

I too created an account so I could leave a review. I had a perfectly pleasant and rewarding experience with Alex. I contacted him, he quickly sent me a list of options, I picked the options I wanted (drive, without a case, and a single use license for MakeMKV).

He invoiced me and I paid with PayPal. A short amount of time later (a few days) I received a tracking number. Two days later I had my drive, it slid right into my desktop computer.

I loaded the program MakeMKV, and grabbed one of my 4K discs to archive. While the program isn't the fastest in the world, it certainly did a great job archiving my disc. (25gb in about 20 mins) I couldn't be happier, and I hope to get another one as a gift for a friend shortly.

As I say on eBay... Super Fast Shipment, Exactly As Described! Great Communications, Would Buy From Again! FIVE STARS!!

LOL! I guarantee I ship more than you do with the usps and their tracking system is a far cry from being "very accurate". "As soon as you take it to the counter it's registered as being in the USPS system"? No, not even close. I have had stuff dropped off at my Post office where the first scan shows "acceptance" in Chicago IL. (i'm not in chicago) I have even had stuff get DELIVERED before it shows up in the system. But what do I know, I only ship 25-50 packages a day, 6 days a week.

I would like to sincerely thank you Alex for the excellent LG BU40N in Vantec Enclosure drive! It works like a boss, and I couldn't be happier! If anyone has a thought or any hesitation on purchasing one of these drives, feel free to ask anything you might have a question about otherwise than I would just advise you to take Alex up on this great offer and be one happy customer in the process! I know there was a little delay in the shipping process, but I understand things happen especially in this crazy world today! My drive fits on my desk perfectly and doesn't take up much space and rips and burns just fine! Awesome and thanks again Alex! I shall return with another purchase! -Jason

I'm sorry I have let a real life situation slow me down as of late. The fact of the matter remains that I've never failed to fill an order in the almost four years that I've been doing this.

What he said. Text is a good way to go. And these days I'm awake 20 hours a day so chances are you'll get an immediate response. I took a shitload of orders and got behind. I wasn't expecting to lose my right hand (wo)man like I have. So if you guys want to flame me without identifying yourself that's fine. Hopefully you'll come back and report how much you're enjoying the gear when your order arrives. Thank you.
