I suspected possible fakes, so I preferred to ask.

I risked a Pioneer BDR-UD03 and a LG BU40N in a enclosure.

Both are on it way.

Let's see ....

The LG drive in the enclosure arrived.
First check: Contains a BU50N.
Great stuff for 59,99 Euro and shipping takes from February, 23rd to 28th. (shipped to work, so today was the first view)

Next step: awaiting the BDR-UD03 ....

What was the manufacture date on the drives and did they appear to be heavily used?

My main concern with buying these (apart from being fake) would be that they were already heavily used and are close to failing. T
