Received my drive today(4/15). Already burned Super Mario Bros 4k and Obi-Wan Kenobi Series. No issues. Put in an OWC enclosure as recommended. I am fine with it sticking out a little. Drive is quiet as heck unlike my old BU04 :) Ordered on Thursday and shipped on Friday. Great Service thank you!

Received my -212 last week, installed it in my new tower and it works great so far. Billy shipped extremely quickly and offered great communication through the whole process. Highly recommended!

Also, thanks to the posters above re: issues on the AM5 chipset. I just built a new tower, luckily the -212 is connected to a PCI-E SATA card instead of the chipset. I would have wasted countless hours trying to figure that out!

Works exactly as expected. Painless and immediately was able to backup my 4K Matrix movies.
2 thumbs up (though can't say that for every Matrix movie...)

What is the trick for getting the Pioneer drives to fit in the OWC Mercury Pro enclosure? I’ve seen “dremel” and “bend tabs” mentioned, but haven’t seen any details.

Hi Billy, can you PM about what kind of problems have you had with the Vantec NexStar DX2? I have 2 drives that I need to determine if I need to rehome.

Thanks to dragonkid832 and others for info on the EAC ripping issue with Prom21 AM5 chipsets. I'm building a new PC with an MSI X670E Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard. From reading the manual it looks like the 4 SATA ports all run directly off of the chipset. I'm guessing the EAC issue will therefore affect this motherboard, right?

I had been thinking of buying one of Billy's pre-flashed BDR-212 drives. If this is the case, would it be better to put the drive in an external USB enclosure, or install a separate SATA controller in one of the PCI-E slots?

Thanks for any advice!
