I bought this from Amazon. I don't know if it can be flashed, or do I have to return it and buy one from here. It is an external drive. Here is what shows up on Makemkv:
Drive Information
OS device name: F:
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: hp HLDS
Product: BDRE BU40N
Revision: BW43
Serial number: 7MEQVHAKKH81M6
Firmware date: 2120-11-02 14:15
Bus encryption flags: 1F
Highest AACS version: 77
LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959
It claims that it can be flashed. I downloaded the collection of firmware from here. No idea which one to use. Which one do I need? I can rip a PAL DVD, but not a 4k disc. How do I flash?
How do you flash a UHD HP HLDS BDRE BU40N Drive?
