Interested in a drive to install in my trusty cheese grater mac pro. Are both firmwares for the LG WH16NS40 equally UHD friendly? Would you recommend the LG or the ASUS? Sorry for the questions, I'm new to UHD.

Hey I recommend you reach out via email or text. But the short of it. One firmware is friendly and one is official for the LG drive. Both drives are great choices with the Asus edging out the LG just by the smallest of margins.
