Archgon MD-8107-U3-UHD "no drive tool logic"

Hello!

I just bought an external bluray drive, and it works for ripping 1080p blurays, but I'm having problems flashing the firmware to rip UHDs.

Model: Archgon MD-8107-U3-UHD
Interface: USB-C external enclosure (I tried a USB-A adapter also)
OS: Windows
Platform: MT1959
Drive: HL-DT-ST BD-RE BU40N
Firmware: 1.02

I've been trying to follow the guide and downloaded the current version of SDFtool. Attempting to dump the firmware does nothing but create the dumps folder. So I tried the CLI, and I get "no drive tool logic found in SDF.bin". I tried the "-t mtk19xx" command listed in the guide, and got a debug code (4278927365, if it matters). I even tried putting the SDF.bin file in the MakeMKV directory, but of course that didn't do anything

So I'm not sure how to continue. I saw a couple of older threads about this drive but didn't get anywhere. Has anybody successfully flashed this exact product? Am I missing something obvious?

Any help is appreciated

as guide says below the archgon does not support flashing or libredrive you will need to replace the case

Thanks for the response. I wasn't sure whether the "s" in the model number mattered. And sorry that I didn't notice until after I posted that the "new user" question a few posts below mine was about the same product...

I guess a return it is, probably
