It specifically states "Select the file that starts with 'HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP55EB40-NB50-1.03' inside the BP55EB40-NB50 folder of the mk firmware pack.". There is no BP55EB40-NB50 folder or a "HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP55EB40-NB50-1.03" file. Is this outdated information or is there a newer mk firmware pack or guide that I haven't found yet?

I also found the 2026 guide but it doesn't list steps for my drive.
How can I find the files and guide I need to flash this drive correctly? I don't want to brick it.

Here is the steps I took.
I flashed the DE_LG_BP50NB40-NB50_1.03_MK.bin firmware. It was successful.
Then I recovered the drive by selecting the drive with the new firmware (DE_LG_BP50NB40-NB50_1.03_MK.bin). It was successful.
Then I wrote the DE_LG_BU40N_1.00.bin firmware. It was successful. But the drive still shows as HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BP50NB40_1.03_212005070917_SIK0EOCAD0621
I even flashed it a second time. Still no luck.
What did I do wrong?

Anyways, I followed Marty's directions and it worked like a charm. I apologize for being a idiot.
I do want to add something in case someone else reads this for tips. After the flashing is done, you have to unplug the drive from the computer (and any power going to it if any). Then plug it back in and it should work fine. That's what I had to do.
