Slimline USB WP50NB40 (NB52) flashing failure for MAC OS 26.2

Hi All,

I am trying to flash Slimline USB WP50NB40 (NB52) following the instructions, and it everything appears to work, but the ROM is not flashed.
For instance

sudo bash
./makemkvcon f -l

Returns results :

Found 1 drives(s)
00: /IOBDServices/BC3A153E
HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BP50NB40_1.03_212005070917_SIM2221S02334

./makemkvcon f -d '/IOBDServices/BC3A153E' -f ./sdf.bin rawflash enc -i ./HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP50NB40-NB50-1.03-NM00800-212005070917.bin

Returns :

Indicating the flash failed.

Does anyone have any idea what I have done wrong?

You didn't mention whether or not you'd powered the drive down to reset it... Without that, the drive is still running its original firmware.

Looks like it worked to me. You said you started with a WP50NB40 and have flashed BP50NB40 1.03-MK to it and the drive now reports as a BP50NB40 1.03.

Is this not correct? To be 100% certain, open MakeMKV and see if libredrive is enabled. If so, then the flash has successfully worked.

If it is correct, then the flash has worked. Now you would need to perform the cross-flash to either BP60NB10 or BU40N firmware for UHD compatibility.
