Hello, I was wondering if my drive was capable of ripping UHD discs since when I try to insert one the drive just spits it out.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Verbatim (Pioneer) Slimline BDXL drive - Is UHD playback/ripping possible?
Hi!
I'm having similar problem with my Verbatim 43888.
It works fine with 4k Blu-Ray like Ocean's 8 but cannot even read Slowhand at 70 4K - it keeps spining up and down or behave like there is no blu-ray inside. Sometimes after few tries it will work for few seconds but not enought to lounch MakeMKV.
Also I've tried another one exactly the same (new) drive and it behaved the same. After that I ordered another one Slowhand at 70 4K. I even tried powered USB hub. All of it on few difrent computers and Mac. Normal Blu-Rays work just fine. Should I change my drive to ASUS BW-16D1HT or is there any way to get it to work?

It's not the drive, it's the disc. Clean the disc and see if that helps.polek wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 8:18 pmHi!

Thanks for response
Both discs were brand new and cleaned with microfiber cloth from any residue before every try.

Wash them with warm water and liquid soap. Dry with a paper towel. Wipe with a microfiber cloth.
And make sure this drive gets enough power. Best via USB-C or a powered USB hub.
