I have two MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ272 drives, one with firmware 1.00, the other one with firmware 1.02.

What to do do to get these drives to LibreDrive or to get it UHD-friendly?

thats not likely to happen the focus here is mostly pioneer or lg/asus drives
