There is no LibreDrive section on mine. I'm assuming that means I'm SOL, right?

Try insereting a blu-ray disc and let MakeMKV initialize it. See if it shows up after that.

If not which production date is on the drive's sticker?

Or which front has the drive? Two or three symbols on the right? It doesn't have to be, but it can be a clue.

Manufacture date is June 2012.

I'm not sure what two or three symbols you're referring to. Is it the -20 at the end of the model number?

2012 is before UHD existed in the market. The end of 2015 is sorta where things start for UHD. Your drive is undoubtedly too old to support UHD.

But, your drive is still useful for DVDs and regular blu-rays.

With reference to the symbols see below. Usually, with some exceptions, you can identify the new technical platform MT-1959, which is the flashable one, with a look to the front of the ASUS drives.

2 symbols on the right: E-Green and MDisc: MT-1959
3 symbols on the right: RW, DVD Multi, Compact disc: MT-1939

Usually!!! I've had one time a MT-1959 drive (in this case a BC-12D2HT) with the "old" front from late 2015. But yours is to old, bad luck, sorry.

That's what I thought but wanted someone more knowledgeable to verify.

Thank you!
