Hi,
So I've been using MakeMKV on Blu Rays for a while now, I have a LG drive and a ASUS drive.
I have about half a dozen movies that refuse to read (some of those are brand new out of the box) and in my research I have discovered that the LG and ASUS drives I have, use the same laser. So if one drive does not work on a particular disc, it will throw the same read error in MakeMKV on the other drive.
I have like a 95% success rate, but what internal Pioneer drive do I buy to give those few movies another chance with MakeMKV? Do I need to do any flashing or is the info still correct that most new Pioneer drives will work in LibreDrive mode? I am in USA.
Thanks,
MrElussive

I would recommend the s13ubk overall but 212 is also good
