Greetings,
Forgive my ignorance and I hope this is allowed. I have not been in the ripping scene for a long time now. So much information is here on these forums and I greatly appreciate it. I want to rip / backup all my media (DVD, Blu-Ray, 4k, etc). I see a trend where Pioneer used to be great and now not so much. What drive can I get that will satisfy my needs?

The pioneers are great if you can get one with old firmware.
I have them if you want one see below.
The LG/ Asus can work but they definitely have issues with reliability and weird issue that make them need to be reset

Forgive me, you have a drive that will work ripping all manners of bluray? I don't have many UHD or 4K but I do have some important ones like extended editions with plenty of extras that I want to retain.

Perfect! Forgive the delayed response. Let me get some things in order then I would love to grab one of those from you. Whichever one will rip 4k, UHD, etc the best.
