LG WH16NS40 No Disk Inserted

Successfully flashed my WH16NS40 to 1.02 to enable Libredrive. When I insert a disk however the blue activity light blinks for a couple seconds and Makemkv disk image spins for about 3 or 4 seconds then says no disk inserted. I need some help!

What's the build date of your drive says on top label

What's the build date of your drive says on top label

Ok try this turn off the computer completely unplug psu for 5 mins
Then turn back on and put a disc in do not open makemkv untill your computer sees the disc in file explorer

Internal drive so no need there, drive shows up in file explorer but can't access movie from there either.

Well then I guess it's dead did you test it before flashing?

That's what I was afraid of, and no I did not just got the drive in and was so excited to get going I didn't even think of it. Looks like it's time for an ebay return.

The one I bought was supposedly new without original packaging. But I can assume that was never the case. In your experience what has been the best drive?
