What custom firmware to use?

Bought a new UHD drive from Japan (LBD-PWA6U3LRD) and wondered what firmware to use on it?

I would advise sending the fw to the developer.
But if you don't want to wait it's probably a BU40N you could follow instructions for that

Would the fw be the .tar file via sdftool flasher? And who to send it to exactly?

Thanks! Sent off the email. Do they reply or will be like some sort of automatic update with MakeMKV?

With the SDFtool Flasher, tried using BU40N firmware and I'm getting an error code: 0x82052603. Nothing's appeared changed.

Disregard previous reply - problem all sorted, wasn't using MK firmware at first to install. HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.04-NM00500-212005061142 worked like a charm, thanks!
