Hi there,
so I have few movies I want to backup and watch it using JellyFin.
Which is the best drive? I don't care about speed but about quality of the backup and things like Dolby Atmos etc.
I also use Arch Linux so would be nice if it would be Linux compatible because I don't want to dual boot windows
Thank you so much beforehand
Which drive should I get?
Re: Which drive should I get?
The Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide post lists all the drives that work for 4K UHD ripping with MakeMKV. If you're going to buy a drive, getting one from that list is probably the right call.
The LG BU40N is held in high regard. The Pioneer drives are as well, although the most recent Pioneer firmware doesn't work with MakeMKV.
The flashing guide post also lists some sellers who sell flashed and tested drives if you don't want to mess with it.

Does this LG drive fully work on a (M2 Pro) MacBook Pro via USB-C/thunderbolt?
