Do I need to make my drive a Libredrive? If so, could I have some help?

Hi everyone. Merry Christmas
I have been using MakeMKV for a couple of months now and love the software. I just got a UHD Libredrive for Christmas. I was looking through some forum posts and I didn't really find an answer to my question. I just got an LG UHD Bluray drive for Christmas. I can read and rip Bluray and DVDs. I want to rip 4k Blurays if possible.
My drive info is listed below:
Drive Manufacture date - June 2022
Part Number - WH16NS60
Drive Firmware - 1.03
I have the bin file downloaded that I need (I think). I downloaded mk-firmware-pack-20190911.zip I don't remember where exactly on the forum I got it from. But I downloaded it and unzipped it.
I also think I need to downgrade the firmware from 1.03 to 1.00. But from looking through the forums it can be tricky and there is a possibility I might brick the drive (which I don't want to do haha). So I don't want to start downgrading it and then something comes up and bricks the drive or I put in a wrong value and boom I bricked the drive.
Thank you all in advance for your help and merry Christmas.
