WH16NS60

Post by Hobbit »

After installing firmware 1.03-mk from the latest firmware pack the drive is sometimes not available. Even after a fresh reboot. Sometimes it's available and it's possible to start reading a disc but during the process of reading the drive becomes unavailable again.

It's no option to return it unfortunately because i still use this drive since ~1 year. Until now i used 1.02 stock firmware without any issues but i had some problems reading discs so i decided to give the MK firmware a try. I will now try to use 1.02-mk and as latest option i will order a new drive.

Yes, that's why 1.02-MK is the recommended firmware. Thanks for the update.
Cheers :D

The WH16NS60 is now discontinued. Anyone wanting to return one or exchange one for a BU40 slim drive need go no further than yours truly. I've got 3 different kinds of BU40s in stock right now, let's party!
