Buying a drive that is already flashed?

I bought a UHD ultra slim drive that was pre-flashed but it's giving me power issues and I want to see what's out there in terms of drives pre-flashed, and ready to go.

Are there any resources or suggestions for buying a new external drive?

Just buy a high powered USB hub if your computers USB ports are not able to supply enough.

I do have 1 special drive that will never have power issues but it's very expensive it's a BU40N in a 5.25 external enclosure with a wall plug.

I've got plenty of power, the drive is just not working properly. It doesn't get power unless I push really hard on the enclosure. I'm running a Mac Pro 2019
