LG BP60NB10 Flashed with LibreDrive Firmware Still Not Recognized

Post by Captain_Cowtown »

Greetings,

I recently flashed a LG BP60NB10 with the LibreDrive firmware list below and MakeMKV still doesn't recognize it as having the correct firmware. I used Terminal in MacOS to do the flash (a lot of trial and error to get it to work but it did show as flashed and have done it multiple times with the same result.) Should I use an older version of the firmware or attempt to flash it from a different computer (older MacOS or PC)?

Firmware:
HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02-NM00800-212005070935.bin

MakeMKV Notes After Firmware Flash:
Drive Information
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BP60NB10
Revision: 1.02
Serial number: SIM03L56G4935
Firmware date: 2120-05-07 09:35
Bus encryption flags: 17
Highest AACS version: 76

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible (with patched firmware)
Drive platform: MT1959
Harware support: Yes
Firmware support: No
Firmware type: Original (patched version available)
Firmware version: 1.02
DVD all regions: Possible (with patched firmware)
BD raw data read: Possible (with patched firmware)
BD raw metadata read: Possible (with patched firmware)
Unrestricted read speed: Possible (with patched firmware)

Thanks for the help!

make sure you use enc in your command as your drive comes with encrypted firmware.
Cheers :D

I have the same drive and I have tried every possible combination but still it doesnt flash it to MK firmware.

would you mind sharing your command line ? or setup ?

I'm on macos, I did it through the terminal, used enc in the commandline, the command reports success, but when recheck the firmware, it is does not change.

I used the firmware:
HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-1.02-NM00800-212005070935.bin

I thought of trying HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP60NB10-NB12-1.02-N000300-212107081556.bin
but I couldnt find it.

any help is appreciated
