Multi-drive USB enclosures?

Post by samoht »

Hi,

Sorry if this is the wrong board to post this question on.

I have a blu-ray drive and 2x dvd drives (5.25") that I use for MakeMKV (will hopefully get a UHD soon too).
They are currently connected via sata.

Are there any multi-drive USB enclosures available 2/3/4 drives? I'm hoping to build my next PC in a smaller case and would like the drives to be in a USB enclosure so that I can connect them only when required.

Never seen one that is USB they are usually standalone cloners that type of thing
And it's becoming less and less popular

I've seen that you sell slimline UHD drives (I think you only sell to US though - I am in the UK) and one of those plus some DVD only drives (a lot of my media is older TV shows that are DVD only) would probably be suitable alternatives with a USB hub.

Is there a list of good quality slimline USB DVD only drives that are compatible with LibreDrive?

Don't know of a DVD one I can recommend I don't test them like the bluray drives.
But libre drive does nothing for DVD so that should not even be a factor.

Asmcom is in the UK and can help you out if you want preflashed and tested drives viewtopic.php?f=20&t=19387

Also be careful with USB hubs optical drive take a lot of power even the best 60watt hubs can only do 6 drives reliably because of spikes it should be a lot more but everything is junk. you can get drop outs and then they all disconnect and your progress is ruined
