Flashing a new Archgon drive

So I just purchased this drive:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BC9F98J?ps ... ct_details from amazon at the beginning of April. I found this youtube video with instructions on how to flash the drive to be compatible with makemkv
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ne3SchKN8Pg&t=350s
Unfortunately even though I followed his instructions to flash the drive it says that the firmware version is incompatible or something along those lines. I don't remember the exact error and no longer have the flashing software. When I try to click the download link for the flashing firmware to re-download it I now get an error when loading the web link.
The one thing I noticed is that in the video it says his default firmware for the drive is 1.01 while mine says it's 1.02. Are there different instructions for patching the drive when it's firmware 1.02?

Read the guide below but yeah his video is out dated and will no longer work for most drives.
If you don't want to flash it your self you can get an automated flasher from me or Marty for $25 that does all the flashing automatically for you

From looking at the guide it looks easy enough to do, I just need to find which firmware I need to downgrade my drive to. The exact drive I have is the HL-DT-STBD-RE BU40N 1.02. When I try to flash firmware to it I get Checksum is mismatched, Drive will go to BOOT mode. Please retry agian.

Getting the same frustrating issue.
Ive looked over this tutorial and from what I saw you must upgard to v1.03 then downgrade again? but even if i try to upgrade first i get the same error i dont understand what is going on and why im getting this issue. Was really hoping to find a resolution here. sad to see this went nowhere.

If your drive is something out of the ordinary I'll give you a free flash so I can learn the new stuff to work around but if your drive is normal it's $25 email me if you want an automated flasher.

I have the same drive with version 1.02. Have you verified your automated flasher will work so I can then play 4k disks? Do I move to 1.03 then 1.00 or do both work?

I'm completely new to this, and I don't know how to flash a new drive for it to work on the MakeMKV app on my MacBook Pro. I have the same Archgon Drive mentioned in the OP. I don't know how to extract the BIN files and apply them to the drive, or anything like that. Could someone please help me?

It would be easier if I had a video guide.
