Asus BW-16D1HT goes unresponsive during rips with LibreDrive

Post by ellhef »

I tried searching through the forums here and couldn't find anyone having the same problem as I am. I recently flashed my BW-16D1HT, with 3.10 firmware, using makemkvcon (on Linux). Ever since, I can't seem to get through a whole disk (4K, Bluray, doesn't matter) without the drive locking up, becoming completely unresponsive to any software commands (eject) or button pushes (eject button). It stays completely unresponsive until the whole computer is shutdown, in theory until power is removed from the drive (reboot doesn't do it). I've reflashed it several times with a variety of sdf files, all with the same behavior.

Using: mk-firmware-pack-20200720/MK/ASUS/BW-16D1HT/ASUS-BW-16D1HT-3.10-WM01601-211901041014.bin
With: sdf_00000076.bin, sdf_0000007f.bin

I now see a sdf_00000085.bin, which I assume is what can currently be downloaded from https://makemkv.com/sdf.bin. I am going to try flashing using that to see if anything has changed. Anyone have any other ideas I can try? Drive info below, log file attached.

Thanks for any advice!

UPDATE: sdf_00000085.bin exhibits the same behavior. It locked up even quicker this time around. New log file also attached.

Can you please check first that this is indeed a LibreDrive issue? Please run it with LibreDrive disabled and see if you get any issues (could be different ones) at all. Thanks!

Code: Select all
