The drive is compatible only when it has older firmware (prior to Dec 2022).

Ah okay. I have version 1.03 and I need 1.02 which is supported. I try do downgrade but I think I have to return the drive and get an older one. That's too bad. I like this drive very much

no one can downgrade the usb ones has to come from the factory with old fw

I already purchased a different drive from you in the meantime while I was waiting for this drive to get some support. Its not like I'm stuck, just curious what to do considering the status is "possible, not yet enabled".

You will just have to wait and see. It could be in a year or two or never. Who knows....
