LibreDrive Information?

Post by roldogg »

I just downloaded MakeMKV hoping to turn all my discs into files to store on my NAS, but after installing MakeMKV and opening it, I receive a message stating the following:

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959

Any suggestions about what I need to do to get this working, if I can get it working? Thanks!

If your ripping regular bluray or DVD you don't need to do anything
If your ripping UHD see the guide below
Buy a UHD drive from the guide and how to video maker: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 20&t=17831

All I want to do is copy all my UHD discs, in HDR/DV lossless audio, into a file format. I have an LG BP60NB10 1.00, which is listed under the recommended drives to get, but it says to use Marty's Asus tool to flash 8/24/19 or later. This is an old drive so I'm pretty sure it's not 8/24/19 or later. From all the information listed about all the different drives, I can't find the solution for this particular drive.

This is the info listed in Make MKV:

Drive Information
OS device name: F:
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BP60NB10
Revision: 1.00
Serial number: SIKYFHACB1541
Firmware date: 2117-11-22 14:32
Bus encryption flags: 17
Highest AACS version: 76

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959

I thought I figured it out and downloaded the sdftool flasher and the latest MK firmware pack, selected the firmware for my drive, which was in the "old" folder, but when trying to write it all I got was errors. Apparently I'm doing something wrong.

More often it has something to do that certain firmwares need the "enc" option activated I think.

Code: Select all

Automatik HK downloading is disabled or failed.
The program can't download the needed keys to decrypt the disc. Make sure that MakeMKV can access the internet. Might solve the problem.

Well, I've disabled every firewall, antivirus, etc on my PC, checked all the events on my UniFi UDM Pro to see if anything was being blocked, and made sure internet access is enabled in the preferences in MakeMKV, and I'm still receiving this error. Are you sure MakeMKV doesn't have access to the internet or is it because LibreDrive is not yet enabled?

LibreDrive compatible drive is required to open this disc - video can't be decrypted.

It's probably your dns change it to google or cloud flare
8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1
Then you should be able to both flash the drive and download keys

That's exactly what my DNS is currently set at.

I also downloaded the sdflash tool and tried to flash the MK firmware, but that came back with an error too and quit.
