Hi,

I hope I'm posting this in the right forum.

So, I've looked at buying a Asus BW-16D1HT internal Blu-Ray, which I would then use with my labtop through a sata to usb converter. I then discovered that there exists a drive called Asus BW-16D1H-U external USB 3.0, but, the kind that also needs AC-power.

I will be using the drive for ripping of boath cd's, dvd's and Blu-Ray's, and I found a list of most accurate disk-drives, where the Asus BW-16D1HT was the number one top most accurate drive, and so my question is:

Is the Asus BW-16D1H-U the exact same drive as the BW-16D1HT, just in an USB-enclosure, so can I expect the exact same accuracy, if I buy the BW-16D1H-U?

No it's a different drive won't work with UHD.

Thank you, so maybe I schould get an Asus BW-16D1HT, but now I have another question.

It seems like, for boath models, there exist boath a normal version and a pro-version, but unfortunately the pro-version isn't available in Denmark, where I live. What is the difference between Asus BW-16D1HT and Asus BW-16D1HT Pro, and why could it be unavailable in Denmark? Does it just have some functions, that Danish customers might not need or something?

There is no difference. They are exactly the same drive with exactly the same firmware. (I have compared them!) The "PRO" model is available in Australia.

OK, so i guess it has something to do with software included in the package.
