Hi,
I'm hoping someone can give me some advice to force flash my BU50N optical drive to the correct firmware.
The drive has the wrong firmware. I know the drive is a BU50N and that one of the admins on this site said to treat the drive as BU40N, so I have tried flashing via the SDFtool Flasher & Makemkv built in flasher. The both completed sucseesfully but the drive info is still the same (BD-RE BP50NB40).
Drive Information
OS device name: D:
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BP50NB40
Revision: 1.03
Serial number: *********
Firmware date: 2120-05-07 09:17
Bus encryption flags: 17
Highest AACS version: 57
The firmware I have attempted to flash to is HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.03-NM00000-211810241934
I would appreciate some advice please,
Thanks in advance.
