Question ugreen usb sata adapter

Post by itoman » Tue Jan 06, 2026 4:05 pm

It's not specified in the product manual or box, but does the Ugreen SATA/USB adapter, Model: CM257 – 60561, use the ASM1153 or ASM225CM chip? Does this adapter support, or not fully support, the ASUS 5.25" SATA DVD drive?

It likely won't work as it has no sata power see guide below for adapters and cases that work.

Those adapters you mentioned are very expensive. I don't use any IDE drives; I only use HDDs and a 5.25" ASUS SATA DVD drive.
