Which External Player To Buy

I'm making a fan edit for a school project and learned that the proper way to do it is by buying the blu rays and then ripping them to my computer. However, I don't have an external blu ray player. I already bought them in blu ray format... what is a relatively cheap external blu ray drive that could do this?

If you are talking JUST Bluray stuff, there are dozens of players that can handle the job. If there is some UHD stuff mixed in, you'll want one of the UHD-capable drives, for which there is suggestions in the Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023 thread.
