Okay, long story short, I have in the past bricked a drive doing things out of order (my fault), so now I have a nice paper weight. I recently purchased the LG Ultra Slim BP60NB10 model. And of course, I need a libre drive flashed. What I would like to know, is the step by step process. I know there is a guide, but it is a little out of order for my brain as the GIF video is in the middle of updates. So I wasn't sure if that video is only for the update or that is the entire process everyone follows. Here is what I'm understanding:
-Open the SDFtool Flasher
-Select my drive (shows 1959 and it is encrypted)
- Open the "All you need firmware pack" (use the LG slim USB BP60NB10 folder, and that 1.02 file is what I will use)
My question is also, do I need to use recovery? Or do I simply "read" so it dumps my file, then click write and choose the LG slim file and I'm G2G? Any assistance is appreciated. I just want to ensure I do this properly. Thank you.
New UHD drive, walk me through like I'm 5.

As per the SDFtool Flasher thread, those instructions and gif are only for the BP50NB40 (or WP50NB40). You don't have that model. Yours is as simple as can be. For the BP60NB10 simply flash it with the BP60NB10 1.02-MK firmware and that's it. Good to go!halstedmichael wrote: ↑Wed Dec 10, 2025 9:34 amOkay, long story short, I have in the past bricked a drive doing things out of order (my fault), so now I have a nice paper weight. Re: New UHD drive, walk me through like I'm 5.
Okay, awesome, thank you. So one last question would be if I need to perform a file dump with "read" or if I can simply select the "write" option to flash the firmware? I would I need to dump the files then select the BP60NB10 1.02-MK firmware for the writing portion. Thanks again for the fast response.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Wed Dec 10, 2025 9:55 amAs per the SDFtool Flasher thread, those instructions and gif are only for the BP50NB40 (or WP50NB40).
