Hello!
I tried to flash this drive:
LG Slim Portable Blu-ray/DVD Writer
Model: BP55EB40
SVC Code: EB40
(Nov. 2016)
as described here:
viewtopic.php?p=130958#p130958
But something went wrong and now the drive no longer works: The drive is still recognised and can be flashed, but when the eject button is pressed, only the LED lights up and the drawer no longer opens.
I have removed the drive (it is labelled with "Model: BU20N") from the case and installed it in a notebook, with the same effect.
Is there any other way to get the drive working again? It does not have to be UHD friendly...
I would be very happy if someone here could help me!

Yeah needed to be nb50/eb50 to flash it should have read the guide.
You can try flashing it back to an old NB 40 firmware with the recovery option in sdfgui

Re: Failed firmware flash LG BP55EB40 SVC EB40
Thank you for your answer.
I found the solution here viewtopic.php?p=129930#p129930
I did a recovery flash from the firmware
DE_LG_BP50NB40-NB50_1.03_MK.bin
to the
BP50NB40-NB40-1.00-Clean.bin
Now it works again and it's a LibreDrive too.
