Is the LibreDrive information only supposed to show for Bluray drives? This is from an ancient PATA/IDE DVD in an old HP desktop;
Code: Select all
Drive Information
OS device name: D:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: DVD-RW DVR-115D
Revision: 1.13
Firmware date: 2007-10-23
LibreDrive Information
Status: Might be supported in future, keep fingers crossed
Drive platform: Pioneer RS0814
Firmware version: GENE
If you're wondering why I have so many random drives, I work with refurbishing systems and many of the new cases I'm provided with don't have an optical bay (the clients don't need them), so I have a very large pile of optical drives dating back to the CD-only era. I've started seeing which ones MakeMKV has a drive platform displayed for. Let me know if the firmware dumps get annoying... lol

I just sent a Pioneer firmware:
PIONEER BD-RWBDR-207M 1.60
Don't know if it'll help but enjoy nonetheless.

I can also forward firmware for the Pioneer 209, however I would like Mike to concentrate on:
MakeMKV with DV according the new spec for MKV files
Speed options for reading
Enable newer Pioneer drives
I have also lots of these old DVD Pioneer drives partially with patched firmware by >NIL: but these are completely outdated for me since BD and UHD are now today's standards for video and resolution. Working backwards for Libredrive is just "nice to have" but most people want the functions toi have all current ding-dongs. Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, DTS:X, HDR??? etc.
