Have a question I wasn't sure about. I have the Asus BW-16D1HT that came with a patched v3.02. Then flashed the clean v3.02 so I can rip discs. During that process in the guide we had to copy the EEPROM calibration data from the dumped firmware and patch it into the clean firmware. Flashed that firmware with DosFlash. Everything works great.
Now I would like to install the newer v3.10 firmware to fix that sleep bug. I have the v3.10 MK firmware downloaded. Now its recommended to use the modified Asus flasher to flash it. So my question is. Is the EEPROM calibration data no longer needed? Does the Asus flasher keep that information when flashing to a new firmware?
Thanks for any info given. I just want to be sure I'm doing the upgrade properly.

This doesn't answer any of my questions about if the EEPROM calibration data is still needed with the v3.10 MK firmware.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 9:35 pmFollow this video and done

However I did decide to flash the v3.10 MK firmware anyways. Not sure if this was the correct way to do it. But I did use the EEPROM Data Mover Tool to grab the calibration data from my original dumped firmware and patched the v3.10 MK firmware. Then flashed the patched v3.10 MK firmware with the modified Asus Flasher. Rebooted my computer. I did a test dump of 2 of my 4k UHD Discs and they dumped just fine. So everything seems to be working just fine.
Re: Asus BW-16D1HT 3.10 MK Question
Flashing with a windows flasher doesn't touch the encryption or calibration data, so, there was no need to use the data mover tool in that case. However, doing so had no impact on flashing.
Re: Asus BW-16D1HT 3.10 MK Question
Thank You! That's what I wanted to know. Glad to know the calibration data is kept when using the windows flasher. I had a feeling it did. But I wanted to verify it.

I say you don't need the data mover and stuff in my videoAmyGrrl wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 11:19 pmThis doesn't answer any of my questions about if the EEPROM calibration data is still needed with the v3.10 MK firmware.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 9:35 pmFollow this video and done

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT 3.10 MK Question
I had did all that before I even saw your reply with the video and I was going by what I did in a different thread months ago. Where I had used DOS Flash instead of the Asus Windows Flasher. Which the data mover was required for that.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 12:49 amI say you don't need the data mover and stuff in my video
