Hi,
Recently purchased a few uhd discs and updated my drive with LibreDrive flashed to BU40N 1.00. Drive will read regular BluRay fine but every uhd I try will seek for 2 mins then sleep and say no disc found.

You should copy/paste your MakeMKV drive info & libredrive info sections just so we can see that it is flashed correctly.Relinquished001 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 06, 2025 11:34 pmHi,

Have you cleaned the discs? Most UHD discs require cleaning, even when brand new out of the box as they often contain an invisible layer of film on them from the manufacturing process.
Try giving them a good wipe with a microfiber cloth. If that doesn't help, a more thorough cleaning using soapy water and a microfiber cloth then pat dry with another microfiber cloth and let air dry overnight before trying again.
Also ensure the drive is getting enough power. UHD discs are far more data dense than BD and do use max power to read. If you have a USB y-cable, ensure both connectors are plugged in. Do not use case ports. Use ports direct from the motherboard (USB3+ or USB-C if possible) or an AC self-powered USB hub of at least 30w.
Cheers

I cleaned the disc with a cloth, and then washed it when that didn't work.
Both cables are plugged in, I am just using the supplied usb y-cable that came with the drive. I dont think I have any usb c compatible drives for the micro-usb external drive. Tried plugged into two usb 3 ports and then 3.2 also.
