so why is it i can put a 4k disk in my drive and look at all the files on the disk when its not a 4k player i just dont understand why this is any help on this plz thanks

Your drive ist a LG BU40N. This drive is UHD friendly natively, so you have access to the data. But you have to flash it for MakeMKV compatibility.

so now i know why make MKV keeps on failing to read the UHD discs
now i need to get the right firmware to flash my drive

I don't understand. Is that the drive from your first post? Then you can flash it to 1.03MK for MakeMKV compatibility.

Yes that's the first drive from my first ever post I posted a cup of days ago thank you it's there any place on here what gives out the firmware so I can download it please thank you

Hi I have now flash my drive everything is working fine but I'm still getting errors ripping 4k DVD with make mkv so I'm thinking it maybe the Blu-ray disc itself I only had one 4K this to try so I am gonna try another one when I get one I have flash it with the right firmware 1.03mkv to make it work but it's still not working I thought I will let you know thank you for all the information you have given me I do appreciate it thanks but I may still email Billy anyway

Could be something simple like key download issue
