Evening all
I have two fully working LibreDrive units in my (quite old) pc and I've recently snapped up an iMac from a closing down sale which is 2018 spec and WAY more powerful.
I use OSX every day so know my way around it - my question is whether I can take either (or both) of the perfectly working drives out of the old PC and pop them into a USB enclosure(s) and have them still work?
I will post a question separately in the mac forum too but here I am questioning if the hardware will retain its functionality when removed from the host PC.
Cheers

Yes, they will if the enclosure is capable to work with optical drives. Some don't.

Those are, in my opinion, the highest quality enclosures you can get, good job!replicant69 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 11:29 amMany thanks!
