Thanks for the reply.
But not quite following completely, mine is already on 1.02, not sure which flash version/type to use?

Per my drive model, should I be using > LG slim BU40N -> HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.03-NM00000-211810241934.bin
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BU40N

If you can't follow the guide I recommend buying an automated flasher me and Marty both sell them

likely not getting hk because your dns is bad or your firewall blocks Russia
also why are you talking about flashing lg drives in the pioneer section.

Why is DNS bad? Because some outfits decided to screw up DNS replies for "unapproved" outfits.

The DNS entry MakeMKV uses for LibreDrive is one of those outfits. So SOME machines cannot get an IP when they ask for it. Change your DNS server entry, and, just as suddenly, it works.

It's been updated here's the link https://pioneer.jp/cgi-bin/device/downl ... W154EU.exe
Hi guys, I have the Pioneer 209 EBK (209-M) and the current firmware is only 1.34/ID60. It is probably perfect for MakeMKV but I would like to upgrade the drive since it will be used as a burner as well. Is that 1.54 firmware still safe for MakeMKV? (I guess it might be since that firmware should be quite old - 2020?).

Do not update no reason for it
