Asus BW-16D1HT 3.03

Hey, being the big dumb baby I am, I decided to install the latest update for the BW-16D1HT (3.10) and now realize that it isnt compatible with the libre drivers. Is there a way to flash the firmware and downgrade or am I going to have to exchange this bad boy at the Memory Express where I got it?

Yes, use the modified ASUS flasher to flash 3.10-mk.

You can then either use it with 3.10-mk or flash another firmware.

Is Windows 10 automatically updating 4K friendly drive firmware?
Or does Windows 10 only Install drivers and windows updates?

When it comes to optical disc drives Windows has never and currently still does not execute these types of updates. This is why—as it’s very clearly discussed in this very thread—you need drive manufacturer specific software flashers (e.g ASUS, LG, etc) to update (and in many cases as discussed in this forum as well, downgrade) said firmware.

Sorry for old thread Becel but I have the same drive with same firmware, 3.03.
Every time I try to flash the DE3.02 firmware it the 3.10mk firmware, it said failed. Sense 00/00/00 or something like that, the message is cut off at the bottom.
Then after about a minute, the whole computer restarts. If I try to end the app, the computer restarts.
I thought it might be because I switched all my components to MSI instead of IRQ, so changed back and tried again, same problem.
Windows 10 latest version.
Ryzen 3900X
Asrock taichi X470

Any one else run into this?
