I bought the Verbatim 43888 a couple of days ago; be carefull not to buy a 43889 (box looks very similar).

43888 works out-of-the box.

First try gave me SCSI errors - maybe the other usb port hasn't provided enough power. (I use a very small nuc)

Hey Cooper, I was wondering if you have any suggestions for me. I am in the US and looking for a second internal drive. I have a WH16NS60 which works okay, but is prone to SCSI errors. UHD support would be nice, but isn't completely necessary.

I am also from Germany. I would need some guidance too but I am unable to send you a pm. Could you maybe start a conversation?
