@Coopervid,
I bought a BDR-212V FW 1.00. Can you please PM instructions for reflashing for UHD/LibreDrive?

Thanks and regards.

I'm not. And you also got help from Billy. Are you trying all of us? Don't like that. Try your previous sources.

I'm not paranoid but thats weird and I really don't know what he wants to achieve having already two firmware sources. Fishy at least.

Hi Billycar11,

I ordered a BDR-212V from Vinpower Digital's Australian office. The drive I was shipped is labeled as a DBR-212BK. I was told to test the drive to see if it is UHD enabled. This is what I get from MakeMKV:
Drive Information
OS device name: G:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-212BK
Revision: 1.04
Serial number: (Redacted)
Firmware date: 2022-12-20
Bus encryption flags: 1B

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: Pioneer RS8F00
Firmware version: ID81

No disc inserted
Is this drive unlockable?

Regards,
Ian.

Ask your former sources. BTW- write quality never improved from 211 to 212 and 213. Much jaddajadda by Pioneer. And don't burn anymore. This is so much before yesterday. Expensive, bad disk quality and degrading. We store now on hard disks and use players.

And yes we checked that wit LG WH16NS58 1.V5 and VPTools. All newer multilayer discs after Verbatim moved the equipment to Taiwan have issues at the layer break. 50 Gb Ritek are still Ok. Were. These tests are 2 years old. Advice: Stop burning discs!
