So I am brand new to all of this. I have been using MakeMKV with an Asus bc-12b1st b for a while with no issues. Suddenly, I try to rip a bluray disc, and now I can't even rip discs I have done so to in the past. Drive disconnects and requires me to reboot my PC to even get the thing to open up so I can get my bluray out.
After reading up on the issue, it sounds like this is a common issue. I have a new drive in the mail, a WH16NS40.
I'm worried that ripping blurays is going to do the same to my new drive, and I can't even be sure what movies would do that to it, and which would be fine.
Anyone have any suggestions on the state of all this?
