Hello! I'm new to this LibreDrive for Pioneer drive train.
Recently bought a Pioneer sourced from Japan
Wonder will LibreDrive works on this drive?

I have MakeMKV 1.17.7. Do I need to update it?
No. Just insert a UHD disc and start ripping!
When I try to rip, I get this message:

LibreDrive compatible drive is required to open this disc - video can't be decrypted.
Failed to open disc

Any ideas are most welcome!

Of course not! It is not a UHD model!! Libredrive does not equal UHD readability. It can be cross-flashed though. Just email Billycar11 your MakeMKV drive info and libredrive info sections above for assistance.
Cheers :D

Did MakeMKV create a firmware dump file in MakeMKV's data directory (listed on the General tab of preferences)? If so, email it in.

You’re right, it looks like it created a dump and I didn’t notice. I just emailed the .tgz file to support@makemkv.com. Thanks for your help.
